Stolen Vehicle Found

Police recovered a stolen vehicle over the weekend, unfortunately when they did, the vehicle didn’t look as good. timothy White of Newport told police Saturday that his 2013 Jeep Wrangler had been stolen sometime between 2am & 10:30am. The Jeep was silver with a black hardtop and a Texas Longhorn license plate on the front. He stated he had the keys in his house when the vehicle was stolen. Around 3pm Saturday, officers were notified that a Jeep Wrangler matching the description of the one stolen had been found turned over on its top on Stones Tower Road on Hall’s Top. The Jeep still had its original license plate in place. Value of that Jeep Wrangler is about $24,000. Police have no suspect on that theft.
