Summer Wells’ Father To Spend Time Behind Bars

Don Wells, the father of Summer Wells…the girl missing out of Hawkins County…will be spending the next year or so in jail. Wells was in court on Monday to answer a DUI charge from October. The 56 year old Wells was facing five charges; driving under the influence, open container, expired registration, improper lane usage, and violation of financial responsibility after being pulled over shortly after midnight on October 31st. On Monday, Wells plead guilty to the DUI charge in Hawkins County court and the state dropped the rest of the charges against him. This is Don Wells’ first DUI…but because his arrest on that charge violated his previous probation…he must serve the rest of his 11 month and 29 day sentence in the Hawkins County jail.

Summer Wells, who turned 6 years old last Friday…has been missing since the evening of June 15th of last year…8 months come next Tuesday.
