TBI Attempting To Solve 30 Year Old Murder

The TBI along with a private DNA lab in Texas has identified the remains of a man found in Claiborne County over 30 years ago. The skeletal remains of a man were found in the Caney Valley area of Claiborne County back in 1986. Investigators back then found that the remains were that of a man who had been shot to death. They also deduced the body had been there for 6 months to a year before being discovered. Back in December, the TBI sent DNA to Othram, INC. and they were able to locate a possible relative in Arkansas. The TBI then found that the remains belonged to Jerry Harrison of Little Rock Arkansas. He would have turned 66 this December. Family members say they were last contacted by Harrison in 1982 as he was traveling across country. The TBI is now attempting to solve Harrison’s murder.
