Three Vehicle Crash In Cosby Thursday

Cocke County authorities and THP responded to a 3 vehicle crash yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Hooper Highway and state route 32 in Cosby. Da Layna Skye Lewis of Spartanburg, South Carolina was sitting on Hooper Highway getting ready to turn onto Hwy 32 towards Newport…when Aaron Sink of Crossville pulling a small camper heading southbound on Hwy 32 had not made it through through the intersection completely when Lewis attempted the turn and struck the camper sending it spinning. That camper then struck a third vehicle that was sitting in an adjacent parking lot…that vehicle was owned by Michael McGrath of Seymour. Lewis complained of injuries but refused to be transported to Newport Medical Center for treatment. Neither Sink nor McGrath were injured in that accident. No charges were filed against Lewis.
