TN Sales Tax Holidays

Tennessee’s annual back-to-school tax holiday and 3 month grocery tax holiday are about to begin. The back-to-school tax holiday runs from July 28^th thru the 30^th, and covers clothing, school supplies and computers. Clothing that costs less than $100 qualifies along with school or art supplies that cost less than $100. Computers, lap tops and tablets costing less than $1500 are also eligible. That holiday will be followed up with a grocery tax holiday that runs from August 1^st to October 31^st, and covers food and food ingredients, but not alcohol, candy, dietary supplements or prepared food.
