Triple Arrest At Walgreen’s Drive-Thru
An arrest for an individual wanted for escape wound up being a triple arrest. Cocke County police had noticed a vehicle sitting in the drive thru of Walgreen’s last night and a known wanted subject could be seen inside. Deputies blocked the vehicle in and arrested Matthew Dailey on an active warrant for escape. Also in that vehicle were two other individuals identified as Philip Shropshire and Karrie Sanderlin. She stated that Shropshire had thrown narcotics on her side of the vehicle. Deputies did not find narcotics but did find plenty of drug paraphernalia in the car…needles, tie ropes, narcan and bowls. Underneath the drivers seat was an uncapped used needle. Both of those individuals were arrested for unlawful drug paraphernalia activities. Shropshire also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. All three were booked into the Cocke County jail.
