UT Takes Tumble In Football Polls
The Tennessee Vols took a tumble in Columbia, Missouri on Saturday and yesterday they took a tumble in the college football rankings. The Vols suffered the worst loss of the Josh Heupel era, losing to the Missouri Tigers 36-7. Nothing went right for Tennessee in that game against Missouri and that loss basically takes Tennessee out of the conversation for a top tier bowl game.
The Vols dropped seven spots in the AP poll. Tennessee went from being #14 to out of the top 20 landing at #21. Tennessee is now the lowest ranked of the SEC teams in the poll. Georgia remains at #1 after dismantling Ole Miss Saturday. Alabama remains at #8. Missouri moves up five spots to number 11 in the poll. Ole Miss dropped to #13 and LSU moves up three spots to #15.
Tennessee also dropped seven spots in the Coaches’ Poll dropping from #12 to #19. Tennessee now has to take on number one ranked Georgia at Neyland Stadium on Saturday. That game will be at 3:30 and televised on CBS.
