Wal-Mart Victim Of Theft

Newport police were called to Wal-Mart on Cosby Hwy Saturday about a man who had broken into the jewelry counter. Loss prevention at Wal-Mart stated the male subject had taken pictures of the jewelry inside the counter, then broke into the jewelry counter and stole over $1300 worth of merchandise. The suspect was identified as 34 year old John Shehee who had been previously trespassed from Wal-Mart due to a shoplifting charge. Shehee supposedly dumped some of the loot he stole into the dumpster at Wendy’s. Officers say that John Shehee contacted his wife Stephanie to go to Wendy’s and pick up the stolen goods from the dumpster. Police went to the Shehee home and found 37 year old Stephanie Shehee in possession of some of the items. She is charged with criminal conspiracy, John Shehee is charged with felony theft, urglary and vandalism.
