Whitlock In Custody

A wanted suspect in Cocke County is now in custody. Sheriff CJ Ball says that after a multi-week search, 47 year old suspect Drury Whitlock is now in custody. Whitlock was captured Sunday evening after a series of searches brought on by tips from the community. Whitlock had been wanted for theft over $1,000, but is facing more charges that will be released soon. Last week while pursuing Whitlock in the Del Rio area, a Cocke County deputy was injured when a bridge gave way and the deputy fell 14 feet down into a creek. That deputy is continuing to recover.
