Blood Shortage Continues

The Medic Regional Blood Center has put out a call for donors as blood levels remain critically low. Right now the blood center has a critical need for O Positive and O Negative blood. According to Kristy Altman at Medic…other blood centers are experiencing shortages as well so they cannot export any blood to this area.

To help kickstart blood donations, Medic has kicked off their Parrot Head event early by having Parrot Head week…Medic says it’s a great way to kick off summer, give the gift of life and have a chance to win a 2 nights stay at Margaritaville in Pigeon Forge. The Medic Mobile Blood center will be in Kodak tomorrow night at the Tennessee Smokies game from 5-9 if you want to give blood…then on Monday it will be in Greeneville at Food City on Andrew Johnson Hwy from 10-6.
