CCSO & TBI Investigating Shooting In Cosby

The TBI is assisting the Cocke County Sheriff’s office in an investigation of a shooting that has left one person in critical condition. The incident happened at approximately 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning in Cosby. Cocke County Sheriff CJ Ball says deputies responded to an address in the 700 block of McGaha Chapel Road. A dispute between two individuals resulted in one shooting the other. An adult male was found by deputies suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital. The name of the victim has not been released as that investigation is ongoing.
