Woman Charged After Trying To Hide Wanted Man

A woman has been charged after Cocke County deputies say that she hindered their attempt to apprehend a wanted man. Deputies say they received a tip that 30 year old Jerry Teague was hiding in a camper on Flat Road. Teague had eluded deputies in a car driven by 38 year old Lorena Nicole Gray. When deputies arrived at the camper, they were told by Gray that Teague was not inside. However, when the owner of the camper gave law enforcement permission to enter and search, Teague was found hiding in the camper’s bathroom.

Gray has now been charged with Criminal Conspiracy and Accessory After The Fact. Teague is charged with Evading Arrest, Escape, and Criminal Conspiracy.
