Jordan Allen Trial Underway In Greene County

The trial of Jordan Allen is underway in Greene County. Jordan Allen is accused of killing his grandmother and his brother in an attack that happened the night of April 24, 2022. Jordan Allen was 16 at the time, but his case was moved to adult criminal court after chilling details were revealed. Allen was officially charged with two counts of first degree murder regarding the deaths of 59 year old Sherry Cole and 7 year old Jessie Allen. Both died from blunt force trauma to the head and bloody tools were found at the scene. Investigators have said that Allen had planned to kill his grandmother and brother earlier in the day.
A jury of 8 men and 4 women was seated yesterday morning, then opening statements began. Testimony will continue today. Allen is being held on a $2 million bond in the Greene County jail. He has been there since his arrest over four years ago.
