Weekend Arrest For Drug Possession
A man was arrested over the weekend after being caught with drug paraphernalia in a car that was trespassing. The vehicle had been spotted at the Rhyne Lumber Co where it is posted no trespassing. four individuals were in the car including 57 year old James Ball, who was found with two used glass pipes, that are used to smoke crack cocaine, a used syringe, and clear baggies with a powder residue. Ball was arrested for the paraphernalia, but upon a search of his person at the Cocke County jail, corrections officers found a sock Ball was concealing on his genital area. Inside the sock was 2.85 grams of a white powder (suspected Fentanyl), .44 grams of a brownish powder ( suspected Heroin), and .72 grams of suspected crack cocaine. Also found were pills believed to be Gabapentin and Alprazolam. ball now faces 5 counts of drug possession.
