Missing Del Rio Man Found Safe

The search for a missing Del Rio man is over after he was found late Wednesday. The TBI had issued a Silver Alert for 71 year old Marty Pellasma after he was reported missing by his family. Mr. Pellasma had left his home Tuesday morning to go on a motorcycle ride but had not returned. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office was notified, and the Greene County Sheriff’s office and Madison County NC Sheriff’s office were brought in to assist.
A search that included numerous volunteer firefighters and the Newport Rescue Squad began. The search ended Wednesday evening when some good samaritains who were searching found Mr. Pellasma in the Hurricane Gap area of Greene County. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office says that the 71 year old was found safe, but was taken to a hospital for treatment.
