Gas Prices Continue Downward Trend
Even though the US and Iran continue to exchange blows, gas prices continue to ease a little. The average price for gas in Tennessee as of Wednesday (6/10) morning according to the AAA is $3.70. Cocke County has an average of $3.74 while Greene and Sevier counties sit at an average of $3.72. Jefferson County’s average gas price is $3.69 and Hamblen County has the lowest average price in the area at $3.63. The cheapest gas prices in Tennessee are in the Chattanooga area in Hamilton county as drivers there are paying an average of $3.40 a gallon.
The US average price continues to stay above $4 a gallon at $4.15, while Brent Crude oil prices continue to be hovering just above $90 a barrel.
The lowest gas prices in the US are in Indiana with an average of $3.39. That’s over 20 cents lower than Texas who is second at $3.60. California still has the highest prices at $5.83 with both Hawaii and Washington state not far behind at $5.58
