Donate Life Tennessee New Specialty Plate
There are 209 specialty license plates in Tennessee, but one group is looking to make that 210, with a very important license plate. Donate Life Tennessee is looking to make their license plate available. The specialty plate features the iconic blue and green Donate Life Tennessee logo and is designed to remind Tennesseans and others about the importance of donated organs. According to Donate Life Tennessee, approximately 110 lives are saved through donation and transplantation in the US each day. Yet, an average of 17 people still die waiting for a donated organ. Each license plate purchase will help fund the state’s organ and tissue donor registry and supports efforts to educate communities about the importance of donation.
To move into production, at least 1,000 plates have to be pre-purchased. The state is now less than 400 pre-orders away from launching this first-ever Donate Life specialty license plate. The deadline for pre-purchases though is on June 30. If you would like to help Donate Life Tennessee get this plate across the finish line, the cost is $35 and you can pre-purchase at Tennesseedonor.org. Or you can scan the QR code pictured below.
