Sevier County Court Clerk Died In Murder-Suicide

District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn announced that based on a preliminary investigation…The death of Sevier County General Sessions Court Clerk Connie Holt has been ruled a murder-suicide. According to details released by Dunn late Tuesday, On Sunday October 24th, Eric Peters…Connie Holt’s boyfriend, shot and killed her, then killed himself inside their home in the 1000 block of Eagle View Drive in Sevier County. Both bodies were found later that day and the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office called in the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to assist in that investigation.

Connie Holt had just celebrated her 55th birthday on October 22nd with a party at the Sevier County courthouse…just 2 days before being the victim in what now appears to be a murder-suicide.
