The city that lost baseball’s All-Star game this year due to politics, now is the home of baseball’s most coveted trophy. The Atlanta Braves used a 3 run homer by Jorge Solar to launch themselves to their first world series victory since 1995. Max Fried who got knocked around in game 2 by the Astros scattered 4 hits in 6 shutout innings, then Tyler Matzek and Will Smith finished the Astros off with 3 innings of shutout ball…and the Braves defeated the Houston Astros 7-0 last night to win the World Series 4 games to 2. Congratulations to the Atlanta Braves. This is the 4th World Series Title for the franchise which celebrated its 150th birthday this year…starting in Boston in 1871.
