Parrottsville Christmas Parade This Saturday Dec 4

Coming up this Saturday, December 4th, is the Parrottsville Christmas parade. The parade which is organized by the Parrottsville Ruritan Club will begin at 1pm and will feature the Cocke County High School Red Regiment Marching Band, antique cars and tractors, horses, singing and dancing and of course Santa Claus will be part of the parade. The theme for this year’s parade is “Toyland”. Staging for the parade begins at 11am and the Grand Marshal for this year’s Parrottsville Christmas Parade will be longtime Parrottsville resident and Ruritan member Derrick Woods…who recently retired after 32 years of service with the Cocke County Sheriff’s department. Woods will also be honored at this year’s Parrottsville Ruritan’s Christmas Banquet where he will receive the Citizen of the Year and Ruritan of the Year awards.

Parrottsville welcomes Santa Claus with their Christmas parade this Saturday….next Saturday, December 11th is Newport’s Christmas parade.
