3 Year Old Found Injured In Ditch In Sevierville

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a hit and run in Sevierville that has left a 3 year old child in the hospital. Thursday afternoon the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office received a call that a child may have been hit by a vehicle on Zion Hill Road in Sevierville. Police responded and found a 3 year old child laying in a ditch with a laceration on the back of their head. That child was taken to East Tennessee Children’s hospital in Knoxville for treatment. A witness told police that a silver pickup truck had possibly struck the child sending them into that ditch then the truck sped away from the scene. No word on the condition of that 3 year old child.
