Identity Of Person Killed In White Pine Truck Stop Shooting Revealed

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office on Tuesday released the name of the person killed in that fatal shooting at a White Pine truck stop Monday afternoon. The shooting, an apparent domestic dispute happened at the Pilot truck stop at exit 4 off Interstate 81 while two parents were exchanging custody of their child. Shots were fired during that exchange and 48 year old Christopher Ray Welch of Harriman was killed. A 58 year old man and a 16 year old girl were wounded during that shooting…they are both in critical condition. We haveook from the Mosheim Church of God. According to the church, he is on life support at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. A fourth person involved was not injured.
