UT Linebacker Arrested For Aggravated Assault
A UT football linebacker has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault. 20 year old William Mohan, who transferred from Michigan and played in 12 games last year for the Vols, allegedly assaulted a woman in South Knoxville on Saturday. The victim stated she invited Mohan over to her apartment but she says he was drunk when he arrived. She stated she took Mohan into her room as to not wake up her roommates. Mohan tried to initiate sex with the victim who refused his advances. At that time she stated Mohan became angry and grabbed her by the face and began choking her. She was able to get away and get to the kitchen where she grabbed a knife and told him to leave, but he refused. Another struggle ensued with Mohan getting control of the knife. At this time a roommate woke up and helped get Mohan out of the apartment. Police arrested him on Sunday and he is due in court on September 16th. A statement from the University of Tennessee on the matter says that ”William Mohan has been suspended from all team activities indefinitely.”
