Cocke County Gas Prices Above State Average

There has been some easing of prices at the gas pump lately. We’re not exactly seeing that in Cocke County as we have an average price of $3.03 a gallon for regular. That is one cent higher than the state average price, which was $3.02 as of Monday morning according to the AAA. The cheapest gas prices in the area are still in Greene County with an average price for regular of $2.92 a gallon, 10 cents below the state average.

Hamblen, Jefferson and Sevier County have higher average prices than Cocke County, at $3.09, $3.06, and $3.07 respectively. The cheapest price in Tennessee is way out west in Henry County at $2.79. Overall gas prices in Tennessee are about 15 cents lower than this time in 2023. Williamson County around Nashville has the highest average gas price in Tennessee at $3.51. That is even above the US average which as of Monday morning was $3.44.

Mississippi still has the lowest average gas price at $2.94. California still tops in gas prices at $4.92.
