Another Drug Bust In Cocke County

Cocke County Sherriff’s Department has announced another drug bust in the county. Friday afternoon police arrested two individuals…22 year old Clarence Burney and 22 year old Cordel Thomas. The two men tried to flush narcotics down the toilet when police knocked on the door. Police were able to confiscate some of the drugs before they were flushed. 1.4 grams of methamphetamine escaped being flushed into the septic tank. Police also found a firearm and ammunition at the scene and lots of cash…over $9600 in cash was seized. Burney & Thomas are now charged with numerous crimes including possession of schedule II narcotics
