Blood Supplies At Critically Low Levels

The Medic Regional Blood Center has put out an urgent call for all blood types. According to Felicia Rhodes at Medic, all blood types are currently at dangerously low levels. The Medic Mobile Blood Center will be in Pigeon Forge tomorrow at the Community Center from noon-6. They are continuing their Bruster’s pint for a pint promotion this week. where donors of a pint of blood receive a pint of ice cream.

Next week Medic will be having their annual summer cookout blood drive… that means they’ll be grilling hot dogs for donors each day. One week from today on Wednesday, July 20th, the Medic Mobile Blood Center will be at Food City in Western Plaza from 11 till 6 that day. Donors will receive a hot dog, chips, and a drink when donating next week. Donors will also receive a ticket to a TN Smokies Baseball game, a MEDIC summer shirt, a Texas Roadhouse coupon, and the chance to win one of several prizes. Walk-ins are welcome but they prefer appointments…which you can do that at their website medicblood.org.
