Cicada Killing Wasp Is Here

Well, we have had Covid-19 to deal with then the Cicadas invaded and now we’re going to get the “Killer Cicada” wasp. Yes, there is a wasp that kills the cicadas. According to a professor at UT…they are not aggressive to humans and will not sting you as long as you leave them alone. Why are they called the killer cicada wasp…well we’re glad you asked because we’re going to tell you. The female wasp stings the cicada paralyzing it with venom then it takes it below ground…this is starting to sound like the movie 10 Cloverfield Lane…then it lays its eggs inside the cicada.

When its eggs hatch, the baby wasps then EAT the cicada. Yummm. That sounds totally disgusting…but take heart…at least we don’t have MURDER HORNETS….yet.
