Dollywood’s New Ride Not Ready For Opening Day

Dollywood opens its 2023 season on Friday March 10th for season pass holders and on Saturday March 11th for the general public. While Dollywood opens in just a couple weeks for the new seaosn, one of its newest attractions will not be opening that weekend. Dollywood’s newest attraction, Big Bear Mountain, will be the longest roller coaster in the park. Dollywood officials say that the coaster is about 75% complete and will not be ready for opening day. Officials say in the coming weeks, they will announce a grand opening date for Big Bear Mountain. That roller coaster is located in the Wildwood Grove area of the park.

Also, Dolly’s new resort lodge, Heartsong is under construction. It is expected to open sometime this fall.
