Jefferson City Food City Victim Of Bomb Threat
A Food City in Jefferson City was evacuated over the weekend after police received a bomb threat. Jefferson City police say that someone called in a bomb threat to the Food City on Andrew Johnson Highway Saturday afternoon around 3pm. Employees and customers were evacuated out of the store as a precaution while while the Jefferson City police department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office bomb dogs searched the building. No bomb was found and the building was given the all-clear. Customers and employees then returned inside. Police are calling the threat a hoax and are looking into the phone number that called in the bomb threat as part of their investigation.
