Jefferson County CO Indicted For Bribery

A Jefferson County Corrections officer could soon be in the Jefferson County jail after investigators say he was paid to bring contraband into the facility. 25 year old Joshua Pounders of White Pine reportedly met with an inmate’s mother…53 year old Tammy Miles of Jefferson City and she gave Pounders money plus contraband to deliver to her son who was in jail. Pounders was fired back in December after investigators learned about the incident. Both Pounders and Miles have both now been indicted. Pounds was indicted on official misconduct and bribery charges. Miles was indicted on a charge of bribing a public servant. Both individuals have made bond and are currently awaiting arraignment in Jefferson County Criminal
