Medic Regional Blood Center Inventory At a Critical Low

The Medic Regional Blood Center is putting out the call for donors again. Medic says the inventory of O negative blood is critically low…in fact they say there are only 20 units of O negative blood in inventory for distribution to this region…and to put that in perspective…one patient recently required 20 units of blood…so the need is critical for O negative. The Medic Mobile blood center will be in Morristown tomorrow at Buffalo Wild Wings on Andrew Johnson Highway. Next Monday is World Blood Donor day. So, Monday blood donors get the special edition t-shirt, World Blood Donor Day wristband, a Texas Roadhouse appetizer card, and a chance to win one of 9 food city $50 gift cards. One winner will be chosen per donor center and mobile drive center, with the drawings to be held on Tuesday. You can always find where the Mobile blood center will be and make an appointment at medicblood.org. By the way, the mobile blood center will be at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office in Dandridge on Monday…then at the Sevier County Bank in downtown Sevierville on Tuesday. The next visit by the blood center to Newport will be on June 21st at Priceless Foods.
