TBI Releases Name Of Man Shot In July By Sevier County Deputies

The TBI has released the name of the man shot by police in Wears Valley last month. You might recall that on July 13th, Sevier County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched out to a home on on Robeson Road because of a domestic disturbance…where a father assaulted his son. When deputies arrived at the scene they encountered a man with a gun…that man has been identified as 52 year old Lee Rakun. Shots were fired and Rakun was wounded and airlifted to UT Medical Center. A deputy was also hurt in that incident but not due to a gunshot injury
