Newport Medical Center Recognized With Award
The Newport Medical Center has been recognized by the Tennessee Hospital Association by receiving a Zero Harm Award. The Zero Harm Awards program celebrates hospitals and clinical departments that have reached zero healthcare-associated infections over the past calendar year in four categories, Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSI), Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections, Clostridium difficile Infections (CDI) and Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
Scott Williams, CEO of Newport Medical Center, says receiving the Zero Harm Award is a true reflection of Newport Medical Center’s commitment to keeping patients safe every day. Newport Medical Center was one of just 16 hospitals in the state to win this award.
